OUR COMPANY
Founded by John Sturdivant Jr. , Junction Entertainment Services Inc. is a music business company that upholds a family tradition. Under the design of grandparents, Kitty Wells and Johnnie Wright, legendary producer Owen Bradley and engineer Glenn Snoddy, the Junction Recording Studio was opened in 1987. Since then, a variety of artists have used Junction Studio, including, Austin Hicks, the Happy Goat Band, Marty Stuart, William Lee Golden, Suzy Ragsdale, Andy Griggs, Blake Chancey, Tony Brown, and Richard Bennett along with other record labels, producers, and publishers.
With this foundation, John Sturdivant Jr., launched Junction Records, an independent label. Under this new label a never before released Kitty Wells album entitled, "Forever Young" was re-mastered and released along with the release of Randy Kohrs, "A Crack in My Armor."
John Sturdivant Jr., known by most as "Junior", has a life time of experience in the music business. It began at the age of five when he was a clown on his grandparent's television show, "the Kitty Wells and Johnnie Wright Family Show". He learned to play a variety of instruments as he traveled with their world renown road show, and earned the honor of becoming a "Tennessee Mountain Boy". Junior is also recognized as a studio musician, producer, recording engineer and songwriter. Since High School, he has performed with artists and groups ranging from Roy Acuff, The Girls Next Door, Marty Stuart, Bear Jr., Chris, Rusty, and William Lee Golden, Uncle Slim and the Happy Goat Band.
John has continually
expanded his knowledge as an Audio Visual Technician, and he has vast experience
as a front of house and monitor engineer for many artists and sound companies,
as well as consulted, designed, and installed audio systems with credits
including: Madison Church of Christ, Belmont University, The Mitchell Group,
and Morrison Brothers.
John has also been employed by Opryland Hotel Audio Visual Services. Responsibilities included : A/V equipment and labor going to all meeting rooms, ball rooms, and exhibit halls, as well as interfacing with clients and insuring their needs were met.
His experience in every aspect of the audio visual field has led to freelance technical positions as: Head Lighting Electrician , Production Assistant , Break Out Room Coordinator for major corporate meetings, Video Director, Video Switcher Operator,Technical Director, Show Supervisor, Stage Manager, Camera Operator (with duties including climbing truss for focusing lights, running truss spot, and light rigging). All of which has led to the launch of Junction Entertainment and it's commitment to customer service.
Junior and his associates at J. E. S. Inc. believe "...that it is important to preserve family traditions, as well as, the sense of the way Kitty and Johnnie always conducted business."
